About the role
Redwood Credit Union is looking for an SBA/Commercial Servicing Specialist I, who will be responsible for boarding, funding and servicing all loan types in accordance with RCU and SBA policies and procedures. Responsible for managing exception, delinquency, and other department reports. Track all insurance and other requirements of entire loan portfolio on an ongoing basis. Serve as a backup to the SBA/Commercial Servicing Specialist II in many areas such as 1502 reporting and file auditing.
Key Responsibilities
• Board, fund, and service all loan types, including SBA loans.
• Post SBA loan payments consistent with SBA requirements to avoid significant penalties.
• Prepare monthly 1502 reporting to Colson Services for the entire SBA loan portfolio (backup to SBA/Commercial Servicing Specialist II).
• Perform review of loan files to ensure they are accurate, complete and closed in accordance with RCU and SBA guidelines (backup to SBA/Commercial Servicing Specialist II).
• Coordinate collateral changes and other loan modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of loan data, prepare, and remit regular reports, both for internal and external users.
• Assist with loan documentation preparation as needed.
• Manage exception reports to ensure loan requirements and deadlines are met.
• Prepare loan demand statements, payoffs, release of collateral and reconveyances.
• Prepare watchlist reports for management and collaborate with Business Services team.
• Monitor delinquency report and alert management as needed.
• Make advances on lines of credit within established credit limits, as necessary.
• Develop and prepare department reports as required.
• Provide exceptional service to all Members, volunteers, internal team members and service providers.
• Answer Member questions as they relate to Business Service deposits and loans.
Other Functions:
• Provide general assistance to Business Services Management in department projects.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of all laws, rules and regulations pertaining to business and SBA compliance.
- Knowledge of business loan processing concepts, procedures, and methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skill in the operation of a PC with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software and Internet and intranet access.
- Ability to analyze problems and opportunities, identify and evaluate alternatives, and develop sound, effective approaches.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to use judgment and discretion in making decisions.
- Ability to prioritize, organize time, and work independently.
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
