THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a data scientist who specializes in personalization and customer behavior modeling to join our team. In this role you will develop and implement advanced models focused on enhancing user experiences and a deep understanding of customer behavior. This role requires a strong background in data science, machine learning, and a deep understanding of customer analytics. 

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  •         Develop and deploy machine learning models to drive personalized recommendations and user experiences across business units.
  •         Use statistical and machine learning techniques to segment customers and predict future behaviors.
  •         Provide customer segmentation and automated decision algorithms to deliver better experiences to customers.
  •         Continuously test and update models to make sure the outputs are delivering the best possible recommendations on how to advance the experience for users.
  •         By using your models, enable partner teams to leverage customer cohorts, personas and their unique journeys to enhance their experience.
  •         Stay up to date on the latest advancements in data science and machine learning to drive innovation in the space.
  •         Lead projects from start to finish, maintain a roadmap, set proper expectations, and communicate timely and adequately with stakeholders.
  •         Own presentations to senior stakeholders, focusing on results and impactful actionable insights, adjusting the communication style to the audience

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  •         4-7+ years of experience in Data Science creating and deploying models
  •         Hands on experience working in customer personalization and a strong understanding of the technical elements required in building and maintaining advanced models
  •         Experience developing roadmaps to evolve customer experiences with particular focus on incremental gains throughout the models and techniques that get deployed.
  •         Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis 
  •         Experience running background d tests to validate the model drives impact and ability to quantify that impact  
  •         Experience delivering model result to business users and have recommendation implemented 
  •         Experience using user behavioral, promotional and marketing data in model building
  •         Proficiency in SQL and Python or R required 
  •         Experience with techstacks such as MLFlow, Spark, Databricks, Sagemaker
  •         Can write product
