Leadman - Maintenance

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a key position in our rock crushing processing plant; includes monitoring, maintaining, and repairing the crushers, conveyors, and sizing screens. The leadman provides direction to the shift, in absence of the supervisor.
 
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Provides direct oversight of maintenance work occurring at the site, to include prioritizing tasks and assuring safe operations.
• Assign daily work; assure employees have proper ppe, tools and equipment and are task trained.
• Grease bearings; replace guards; change/align drive belts, sheaves and gear boxes; replace rollers and bearings; change conveyor belts; replace skirting; change wear liners/hammers; adjust crushers
• Ability to stick weld, mig weld and cut metals proficiently. 
• Contribute to positive work environment and build culture and team through mentoring and training.
• Walks the site, observing crushers and conveyors for proper function.
• Embraces best practices, processes and tools to ensure plant activities are optimized and costs are best in class. 
• Utilizes maintenance programs to maximize plant up-time and manage costs. 
• Assure that safety rules are a priority and the company policies are followed.
• Serves as the site responsible person during the absence of the plant manager.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Three plus years related experience and/or training to include experience working with materials, aggregate or heavy civil construction.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills, to include Microsoft Office preferred.

 

Additional Requirements: 

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
