Job Description

Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mainframe Developer for one of our clients.

Title: Mainframe Developer

Location: Columbus, OH / Wilmington, DE (Day 1 Onsite)

Long Term Contract

Job Description:

• 6 to 10 Yrs of experience in the Mainframe & Java Modernization space.
• The Candidate has experience in understanding the requirements for the Mainframe Modernization and Legacy Migration.
• The tech stack used is Java FSD, Python, Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS,MQ) and Webservices, EXDRIVE, SORT etc as mandatory,
• The Candidate has experience and worked on the Mainframe Modernization in migration On-Prem to On-Prem, Cloud Migration to Azure, Migration to Microfocus.
• Strong in triaging production issues using all the basic tools in Mainframe.
• Knowing Java/distributed solutions will be super plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
• Understanding and experience of Product Development Life Cycle, Business Requirement Specification documentation and experience of working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in PL/1 , JCL, DB2 and CICS , Webservices, EXTRIVE, SORT
• VSAM mandatory
• Secondary skills required COBOL, Changeman tool, SQL
• Designing, Coding, Unit Testing, Debugging
• Object oriented principles and best practices
• Ability to work independently
