About Oshkosh AeroTech, an Oshkosh company

Oshkosh AeroTech is a leading provider of aviation ground support products, gate equipment and airport services to commercial airlines, airports, air-freight carriers, ground handling and military customers. Oshkosh AeroTech offers products that make a difference in people’s lives by supporting those in our communities who do some of the toughest work. They own many of the most trusted brands in the air transportation industry, including LEKTRO®, JetAire®, JetPower®, AmpTekÔ, Jetway®, and more.

Unlike heavy fabrication or welding areas, this production environment focuses on mechanical assembly, electrical integration, and quality-critical work that supports defense customers with elevated compliance and regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and an ability to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and schedule adherence in a light manufacturing setting.

  • Drive performance through clear expectations, coaching, and accountability; foster a team culture that prioritizes quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support documentation, work instructions, and inspection readiness consistent with defense manufacturing requirements.
  • Maintain strong floor presence, balancing administrative responsibilities with direct engagement in daily production.
  • Partner with other first-shift Production Supervisors to ensure cross-departmental coordination and consistent execution across JetAire, Jetpower, and related product lines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED with three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in defense or government manufacturing environments with exposure to ITAR, DFARS, or DPAS processes.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, mechanical assembly, and component troubleshooting within light manufacturing or aerospace/defense operations.
  • Demonstrated success managing teams in quality-sensitive, regulated environments.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Production Control to ensure product readiness and compliance.
  • Effective communicator with proven leadership skills and the ability to adapt to a mix of experienced and newer employees.
  • Experience leading teams through transition periods or workforce change (such as balancing retirements and onboarding new hires).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Shift: First shift, approximately 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (flexible for start time as operational needs allow).
  • Location: Ogden, Utah.
