This position is responsible for the On-Premise sales department. The primary objective of this leadership position is to maximize all resources to expand sales, distribution and share for all JB-MD’s suppliers in the On-Premise sales division. This position will be based in Raleigh and will oversee three Area Managers, thirteen district managers, a Regional KAM, and a team of sixty-one territory managers.

Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead, coach, and empower direct and indirect teams to perform and achieve results in line with department strategy and goals.
- Setting and managing monthly objectives against programming and activation
- Achieve organization’s sales plan
- Evaluate progress and work with Sales Reps to determine growth potential
- Manage sales performance by measuring and reporting results; evaluates and corrects performance as needed. Administers policies and procedures
- Product key account calls by helping to prepare and present programs
- Assist in the development of sales forecasts and scheduling of product
- Plan for activities by forecasting conditions, market analysis, market trends, defining objectives and strategies
- Collaborate with our strategic supplier partners to achieve their goals in the market
- Manage budget, forecasting and sales trends of accounts
- Follow-up and comply with request from upper management
- Report weekly/monthly/quarterly to management team to be sure sales targets are met
- Evaluate staff and build succession plans
- Utilize all tools available to track performance and results of monthly goals

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (or analogous industry experience/skills)
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 5-7 years industry experience
- On-Premise experience strongly preferred
- Previous beverage sales management experience
- Strong working product knowledge of wine and beer
- Proven track record of creating and presenting successful wine and beer platforms/concepts that drive incremental business across the enterprise
- Excellent Leadership and people development skills.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and leading teams required
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision-making and quantitative analysis skills to provide insights into performance and efficiency opportunities.
- Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills to build relationship and collaboration across different departments, sometimes virtually.
- Excellent planning/organizational skills necessary to achieve business goals
- Strong ability to multi-task efficiently within given time parameters
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
- Ability to manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Ability to interact with all functional areas and organizational levels, often in stressful situations.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Computer Skills:
- Strong Word and Excel experience required; Workday software experience desired
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work well with others
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position is a supervisory position
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is a heated office area, the noise level in the work environment is usually low.
