About the role

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Senior Allied Health Clinician - CAMHS Patient Flow (527919d) and only one position will be filled on merit. Please note this position is eligible for a Multi Disciplinary Allowance.

The Team:

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a tertiary level clinical mental health service, providing triage, assessment, treatment and support to young people aged 0-18 and their families statewide. The multidisciplinary team works across several sites and provides a therapeutic service for both inpatients and outpatients across Tasmania.  

The Role:

As a senior clinician within a multidisciplinary team delivering person centred, recovery orientated and trauma informed care to all individuals accessing child and adolescent mental health services, and in accordance with the National Standards for Mental Health Services, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies:  

  • As a CAMHS Patient Flow clinician you will be working within a larger team, triaging referrals for statewide CAMHS
  • Providing phone assessment and ascertaining level of risk, offering support, psychoeducation and assistance to families and health professionals
  • Providing recommendations for ongoing support and follow-up

Details of appointment:

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $114,851 - $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type.
