About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician II, 1st Shift.

The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:30 am until 3:30 pm.

This position is also eligible for a varible incentive program.

What you’ll do:

As an Assembly Technician, you will assemble, wire, fit, and modify components used in the production of medium- and high‑voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies. This includes breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and all related sub‑assemblies.

Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or engineering, following all established procedures.
Complete all required ISO documentation, quality and customer checklists, feedback forms, and production reports for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering.
Mount and install electrical equipment and perform necessary wiring operations.
Maintain minimum Kanban inventory levels and report shortages to the appropriate personnel.
Inspect all assemblies to ensure hardware is secure, components are present, and units meet cleanliness and quality standards.
Respond to change notices, customer‑requested modifications, and development requirements.
Support engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer‑driven development or improvement projects.
Work consistently according to manufacturing information, drawings, sketches, supervisor instructions, and established procedures.

Qualifications:

Basic:

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Eaton does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This includes, but is not limited to, CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F 1 to H 1B cap registration, O 1, E 3, TN status, or I 485 job portability.
No relocation assistance is available. Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographical requirement.

Preferred:

3 months of industrial manufacturing experience
3 months of experience using hand and pneumatic (air) tools
South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

Position Criteria:

Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.
Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and job specific systems such as ENOVIA.
Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials.
Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds.
Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color distinction.

Work Environment:

Regular exposure to noise while performing job duties.
Frequent exposure to dust in the work area.
