Food Service Coordinator

Description

As an integral part of the Operations Team, the general objective is to support the prepared food operations of Ideal Market as we work to be the B.E.S.T store in each town through menu development, program execution, and outstanding customer experience. While management may assign other projects, primary areas of responsibility include:

• Optimizing menus by location and maintaining recipe manuals.
• Ensuring associates and managers are fully trained and prepared to serve all menu items, and that all items are served consistently company-wide.
• Developing policies and procedures to ensure that all food and beverage is served safely and exceeds customer expectations. 
• Continually monitoring the functional performance of the food operation at each location and help the operations team identify and solve deficiencies.
• Developing policies and procedures to ensure that all food and beverage equipment is working to standard and is being properly cleaned and maintained by store personnel.
• Continually monitoring the financial performance of each deli.
• Working with the operations team to develop and deliver a food marketing calendar.

This full-time position reports directly to the Operations Manager and will generally have a Monday-Friday schedule, beginning and ending each day at the corporate office. A successful coordinator is analytical and focused on the details, but they must love food, pleasing customers, and developing teams. In addition, they must be self-motivated and able to identify and prioritize a weekly plan. Benefits are described in the Employee Handbook under the Office Hourly category. In addition, a Company vehicle domiciled at the office will be provided for business travel. 

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Ability to create and manage budgets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and food service software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Creative problem-solving skills
