Technical Project Manager, Vehicle Integration

We are currently seeking a Technical Project Manager for our Vehicle Development team. This position requires an automotive professional with relevant experience planning and organizing tests for design and production validation. Our ideal candidate exhibits a strong drive, an organized mindset, and has had prior experience bringing vehicles to production. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
- Good understanding of vehicle system context i.e., stages of product development, with inputs and outputs of each phase.
- Knowledge on vehicle attributes (what are the details that make up a specific attribute and/ or how are they measured) and what are features. How are they different.
- Should have managed a project or program from concept through launch and tools used to track progress at each milestone.
- Familiarity with creating and operating a risk register or similar tool to prioritize risks.
- Key to have the soft skills to work with a very diverse and cross functional group.
- Good knowledge of vehicle hardware & software systems (understanding of which hardware system performance is enabled by software).
- Knowing more about vehicle connectivity, TCU, ECU, Gateways, Ethernet communications etc. is a Bonus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science minimum in a relevant science or engineering field or extensive years doing relevant work in the automotive industry
- Proven experience with automotive vehicle testing
- Strong understanding of industry vehicle testing standards and testing requirements
- Experience in system testing especially for chassis and powertrain components
- Experience making and tracking schedules for large programs / projects
- Strong knowledge of the automotive testing process for production vehicles
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors and management
- Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects
- Track record of establishing strong processes and work procedures
- Organized mindset and time management skills to keep projects on track to the finish
Education:
- Bachelor of Science minimum in a relevant science or engineering field or extensive years doing relevant work in the automotive industry
Advantageous:
- Masters degree in a relevant engineering field
- MBA or professional certification for Project/Program Management
- Experience testing fully electric vehicles
- 5+ years of experience
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
