Physican Services Data Specialist

Description

Performs administrative duties that supports the management of maintaining credentialing status for Inspire Health providers. Primarily managing CAQH provider profiles and expirable licensing documents for providers such as medical licenses, DEA, CPR, etc. Maintain and distribute specialized reports generated from department’s data base system.   

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Create and update CAQH profiles for providers.
• Maintain expirable licensing/certification documents for providers such as DEA, Medical License, CPR, etc.
• Maintain accurate provider email addresses in Outlook and audit as necessary
• Coordinate and manage for new onboarding providers, pager and answering services with contracted vendor, preparation of new hire orientation packets and set up of UCSF and CMC email addresses. 
• Maintain and distribute standardized reports generated from department’s data base system and any specialized report requests.   
• Provide support with incoming department phone calls, mail and e-faxes.
• Promote the purpose, values and foundations of Inspire Health at all levels of the organization and to our customers.

Requirements

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge:

• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Ability to understand and follow directions; multitask; meet multiple deadlines; maintain confidentiality
• Ability to handle basic issues and problems, refer more complex issues to higher-level staff. 

Equipment Operated:

• Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment:

• Position in a well-lit, well-ventilated office environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Involves sitting approximately 80 percent of the day, walking, bending, stretching or standing the remainder. May be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Some walking to deliver documents or mail as necessary.
