Job Overview:

The Production Master Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective production planning within the organization. This role involves overseeing and optimizing the production schedule, coordinating with various departments, and implementing strategies to maximize resource utilization. The Production Master Scheduler is responsible for maintaining a balanced and realistic production plan that aligns with business goals and customer demands, with a strong emphasis on utilizing SAP for seamless integration and data management. Additionally, this role is responsible for achieving revenue targets through effective production planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning:

  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity, utilizing SAP functionalities.
  • Leverage SAP's Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) module or relevant SAP tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and streamline production planning processes.

2. Resource Allocation:

  • Optimize the use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, utilizing SAP's resource management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to integrate SAP for real-time visibility into inventory levels and to ensure seamless material flow.

3. Schedule Coordination:

  • Utilize SAP to facilitate seamless communication and coordination with production managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Leverage SAP's collaboration tools to address real-time changes in production volume, equipment downtime, or unexpected events.

4. Performance Analysis:

  • Utilize SAP analytics and reporting tools to analyze production performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives leveraging SAP capabilities to enhance production planning processes and overall operational efficiency.

5. Capacity Planning:

  • Utilize SAP's capacity planning features to assess and manage production capacity constraints and bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal utilization of equipment and efficient capacity planning.

6. Revenue Target Achievement:

  • Work collaboratively with sales and finance teams to align production plans with revenue targets.
  • Implement production strategies that support revenue growth and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demand.

7. Communication and Reporting:

  • Generate reports and KPIs using SAP to provide regular updates on production schedules and performance to management and relevant departments.
  • Leverage SAP reporting tools for detailed insights into production planning metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in utilizing SAP for production planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
