Senior Product Designer

<h2>Overview</h2> <p>You will direct and manage the full project life cycle, setting standards for assignments and applications. You will be responsible for the delivery of the defined work packages to the client and provide effective management to teams, giving guidance to others and key business users.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Take responsibility for understanding client requirements seeking to fully address client needs, identifying, evaluating and recommending options, plus the establishment of a base-line on which delivery of a solution can commence </li> <li>Managing of the requirements and the backlog with Dev, making sure the analysis has been done correctly and mapped back to the solution</li> <li>Documenting EPICS and the manging of documentation</li> <li>Research and diagnose business problems /solutions e.g. usability issues. </li> <li>Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps for internal work. </li> <li>Design low fidelity and high fidelity designs. </li> <li>User Validation – verifying that the proposed solution is suitable based on end user requirements. </li> <li>Design and optimise graphic UI elements and design systems, including menus, tabs, page navigation, buttons, search fields, widgets and forms. </li> <li>Develop mockups and prototypes illustrating site format and functionality, using user experience methodologies. </li> <li>Create original graphic designs and flows (e.g. images, sketches and tables). </li> <li>Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness). </li> <li>Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback. </li> <li>Adhere to company brand guidelines and style standards on fonts, colours and images. </li> <li>Consult with project stakeholders on best practice. </li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <p>Essential</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience</li> </ul> <p>Desirable</p> <ul> <li>Management qualification or relevant years of experience</li> <li>Additional course or certification in Business Analysis</li> <li>One or more industry certification e.g. Prince 2, PMP etc.</li> </ul> <h2>Skills</h2> <ul> <li>Understanding of UX Design process methodologies. </li> <li>Understanding of BA and Product Owner roles with analysis experience</li> <li>Expert in Adobe CC, Figma, Sketch or Invision. </li> <li>Excellent client-facing skills </li> <li>People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions </li> <li>Creates a team environment that celebrates both successes and failures. </li> <li>Good self-management – continuous performance is both a goal and a mind-set  </li> <li>Has an innovative approach – a bold thinker and doer, matching creativity with vigilance  </li> <li>Excellent communication and presentations skills, maintains confidentiality, shares ideas and information, facilitates discussions and transfers knowledge to diverse audiences to achieve collective objectives. </li> </ul>  <h2>Experience</h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in UX Design </li> <li>Experience in managing upwards with multiple people, gaining their trust quickly. </li> <li>Expertise in BA Management including participating in the identification of and planning for future resource needs. </li> <li>Experience in taking research, wireframes, components and other UI elements from inception to developer handover. </li> <li>Portfolio of design projects (essential) </li> <li>Knowledge of wireframe tools, design software and prototyping functionality within software such as Figma, Sketch and Adobe CC. </li> <li>Experience of designing responsive solutions ranging from desktop to mobile. </li> <li>Experience of working in Agile teams and working collaboratively with product owners, Agile/SCRUM leads, developers and testers. </li> <li>Ideally candidate would have consultancy experience. </li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <p>At Expleo, we are committed to providing a competitive salary and a substantial benefits offering with unique wellbeing, financial and employee recognition programmes.</p> <p> </p> <p>We pride ourselves on our diverse and inclusive culture and offer a variety of family friendly policies and enhanced leave to help our you achieve a healthy work life balance. </p> <p>By providing significant learning and development opportunities, we encourage individual growth and success throughout your career with us.</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Collaborative working environment – we stand shoulder to shoulder with our clients and ours peers through good times and challenges</li> <li>We empower all passionate technology loving professionals by allowing them to expand their skills and take part in inspiring projects </li> <li>Expleo Academy - enables you to acquire and develop the right skills by delivering a suite of accredited t
