Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is seeking a motivated Entry Level Field Operations High Voltage Technician to assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of high-voltage equipment and power distribution systems. You will work under the guidance of experienced technicians and engineers to ensure the safe operation of our electrical infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Assist in routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of high-voltage equipment.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with experienced technicians to troubleshoot faults and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct tests and measurements to verify equipment performance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
• Continuously develop technical skills through training and learning opportunities.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Adhere to company policies and industry standards for electrical systems.
• Respond to emergency situations and participate in on-call rotation.

 

This position is located out of Great Prairie Wind in Gruver, TX. Travel to other regional wind/solar sites will be required.
