Principal Duties and Responsibilities*:
Direct Support:
- Create CMM programs from solid models and/or engineering drawings- this requires interface with CNC machine programmers during development.
- Provide support to the Quality team for initial execution of CMM programs, and as needed.
- Support for Plex Control Plan creation/revision.
- Coordinate/Execute First Article Inspection Documentation.
- Create Production Inspection Documentation.
- Assist in Process Validations
- Includes assisting in collection and compilation of process inspection data for capability indexing.
- Assist/educate quality team members in the proper methods of measurement and verification.
- Support for gage R&R
Indirect Support:
- Develop and maintain procedural requirements as required to maintain current manufacturing regulations.
- Provide support as liaison for customer issued SCAR's to respond with timely and appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide support for quality continuous improvements (new equipment/process improvements etc.).
Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copier/scanner, and filing cabinets. CMM Programmer will need to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Minimal travel is expected
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills:
- Advanced understanding of CMM Software. (Modus, DMIS type etc.)
- Advanced Computer skills. (Excel, Word, Outlook, Inspection Xpert, Minitab)
- Communicate professionally in a cross-functional team environment.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Quality Control environment with a focus on manufacturing preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, ASQ certification, or equivalent experience required.
International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR):
- Must be either; US Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
