Senior Accountant

<p>Samsonite is seeking a detail-oriented and Senior Accountant to oversee the end-to-end accounting process for one or more of our group entities. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while meeting reporting deadlines.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>The ideal candidate will:</p> <ul> <li>Process supplier invoices efficiently and accurately.</li> <li>Manage the monthly closing process, including account reconciliations.</li> <li>Calculate agent commissions and customer year-end discounts.</li> <li>Review and control the general ledger, analyzing cost center variances.</li> <li>Prepare and submit VAT and Intrastat reports, as well as other statutory reporting requirements.</li> <li>Compile statutory annual accounts in compliance with applicable regulations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Applicants should ideally have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with SAP FI/CO is a plus.</li> <li>Fluency in Dutch and English; additional languages are an advantage.</li> <li>A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information tactfully and diplomatically.</li> <li>A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.</li> <li>A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines.</li> <li>The capability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li> </ul> <p><br/><strong>Samsonite is offering:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A dynamic and challenging role at the European Headquarters of a leading international company.</li> <li>A permanent position with a competitive salary package and attractive fringe benefits.</li> <li>The opportunity to contribute to a global brand and develop your career in a supportive environment.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Travel is one of life’s greatest experiences.
