Our agency is looking to fill a full-time, permanent Office Assistant (OA3) vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for Tacoma Unit 2 located at 514 South 13th Street, Tacoma, WA 98402.
Under general supervision from the Administrative Assistant 4 (AA4), this position performs file management and routine, advanced clerical support tasks for three Community Corrections Division Field Units. Working independently, you will perform a variety of complex clerical projects and assignments and perform duties involved with working at the reception desk.
The following working conditions will be required:
- Regular contact with supervised individuals that have a variety of mental health special needs.
- Working with and around armed officers.
- Working in an open cubicle environment.
- The ability to change priorities as needed.
- Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

- Manage and archive files.
- Greet and direct clients, general public, and/or stakeholders to the appropriate staff.
- Manage a multi-line phone system.
- Receive equipment and supplies from vendors.
