Float Registered Nurse ER Urgent Care PRN

Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care, RN Float Team

Part-Time (24 Hours/Week), Nights (7am-7pm)

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers in an ER/Urgent Care setting. Also in this role, the RN will float between southern Indiana and Kentucky freestanding EDs including Jefferson Ridge, Blankenbaker, and the future Glenmary location.

About the Department:

This hybrid emergency room and urgent care provides both types of care to patients conveniently under one roof. Patients will receive the appropriate level of care in a simple, cost effective one-stop location. The emergency room will provide care on a 24/7 basis with transport services available to handle high-acuity emergency situations needing surgery. Nurses at this location will have a background or training in emergency care. On-site imaging and laboratory services are also available.

Qualifications:

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.

• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

• PALS required within 12 months of hire.

• ACLS required within 12 months of hire.

• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 10 weeks of hire.

• Previous ER experience preferred.
