Department Overview

Operation Management Dept.’s mission is to promote sustainable growth and value of our organization by enhancing defense functions, such as governance, risk management, compliance, legal affairs, public relations, public relations, and so forth.

Commerce Legal Section is responsible for establishing and revising the terms and conditions and guidelines for Rakuten Ichiba, as well as providing document management services, troubleshooting, and other legal-related support services for each business in Commerce & Marketing Company.

Position Details

- To establish or revise the terms and conditions and guidelines based on the voices of users (relating to Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations Act, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Law, etc.)

- To research any changes in laws or industry rules which may affect Rakuten Ichiba.

- To investigate the incident or accident ion which may affect Rakuten Ichiba.

- To respond in cooperation with administrative authorities and external organizations.

- Explanation/dissemination of rules and guidelines to merchants, responding to inquiries from merchants.

- To provide legal advices and risk management for each businesses.

- Document management of terms and conditions and guidelines.

- Supporting troubleshooting of incidents.

- Supporting other legal matters.

　

Work Environment

9 members (includes 4 outsourced members)

3 of which are managers (Senior manager, manager and vice manager)

- Lawyer

- Experienced in legal affairs in business sector

- New graduate

　

Mandatory Qualifications:

- 3 years or more legal work experience

- Strong communication skills with stakeholders

- Critical thinking and problem solving skills

- Writing skills, research skills and other basic business skills (word, excel, power point, outlook)

Desired Qualifications:

- work experience in a legal section in online business sector or a law firm

- work experience in planning, forming and enforcing public policy

Additional information on English Qualification

TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country
