SUMMARYThe Senior Accountant will provide accounting and finance support to the Corporate Finance team and will work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager and Director of Corporate Finance. This position reports to the Head of Corporate Finance, or another management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position reports to the Irvine, CA office but will maintain a hybrid schedule of working out of their home office and the Irvine, CA office. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 5% of the time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
- Lead the month-end close process for the company including but not limited to ensuring the timely preparation of journal entries, evaluating inventory, prepaids and accruals, maintaining account reconciliations and roll-forward for all balance sheet accounts in accordance with reporting deadlines
- Manage end-to-end inventory processes and provide analysis of company performance by collecting, interpreting, and presenting to management
- Process vendor invoices related to projects in accurate and timely manner, maintain project related records and review related account balances
- Serve as a liaison with process owners, external auditors, third-party internal audit co-source partner for SOX compliance
- Ensure adequate internal controls are implemented and monitored in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
- Monitor workstream to identify areas for control rationalization and control enhancement reinforcing the standards and approaches for documentation
- Facilitate communication with external auditor and compile information for audit requests
- Collaborates with the other team members to support overall department goals and objectives
- Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed; and
- Performs other accounting and finance duties as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or another business-related field
- Minimum of 4 years of professional accounting experience
- Hands-on experience in accounting, financial closing and general ledger management
- Previous experience working in a multinational company preferred
- Previous experience working in a construction business is preferred
- Previous experience working in inventory management is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly
- Strong, self-motivated team player
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience working with SAP is preferred
