Location: Arden Hills, MN
Work Mode: Hybrid, 3 days onsite required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Portfolio Management: As a member of the HR PMO, you will manage the portfolio of strategic projects for the Human Resources talent management team. Collaborate with global talent team to prioritize projects with clear value statements, align with stakeholders, allocate resources, and drive strategic changes across our global organization.
- Project Leadership: Lead medium to complex projects using your expertise in traditional and agile project management techniques. Prepare project plans, resource plans, schedules, and budgets using tools like Microsoft Project. Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking schedules, identifying risks, and developing contingency plans.
- Methodology and Partnerships: Utilize appropriate methodologies and partnerships to ensure project success. Initial projects will require experience in managing software projects in collaboration with IT and vendors.
- Visual Planning and Communication: Create visual plans that motivate and engage project resources. Communicate project status through standard reports and participate in departmental and customer status update meetings.
- Issue Resolution: Collaborate creatively with team members, project customers, and others to resolve project issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct retrospectives to foster a continuous improvement mindset and enhance team performance.
- Community Leadership: Lead a community of practice for project management within Human Resources, mentoring aspiring project managers and expanding capabilities beyond the PMO team.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7 years’ experience in planning, managing, and completing projects of medium to high complexity.
- Candidate must have Global experience
- Ability to influence across a complex global work environment
- Stakeholder management and communication planning skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Experience in business process analysis and design
- Experience within human resources and talent management
Preferred qualifications and competencies:
- Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., community, volunteer activities, leadership roles, leading with inclusiveness)
