Financial Analyst (Part-Time)

An individual will be successful in this role if they are seeking a positive, engaging team environment but thrives with defined, predictable and repeatable responsibilities. This is a part-time, remote role, ranging from 20-25 hours/week with the opportunity for additional hours during budget review. Working hours will be daily and agreed upon with the hiring manager, with optimal working hours being mornings.
This individual would own the daily critical operations activities, including but not limited to:
- Recurring Workday Adaptive system maintenance:
- Manage and maintain the Workday Adaptive financial system, ensuring consistency with the Sage Intacct system.
- Regularly update and maintain financial models, templates, and dashboards within the Workday Adaptive system.
- Financial reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of financial reports to meet changing business needs.
- Collaborate with finance team members to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Produce accurate data reporting for board decks and investor presentations
What professional characteristics and experience do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
- Proven experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive or similar cloud-based financial planning software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a high level of self-motivation.
- Proficiency with data visualization platforms (eg. Looker, Tableau).
- Familiarity with accounting practices and financial reporting standards.
- Insurance experience is a plus.
- Experience with SQL is a plus.
