This position provides administration, supervision, leadership, and direction for multiple areas of the student affairs division. This includes, but is not limited to, academic support services, academic advising, success navigators, selective admissions/advising, and testing services across the college. The position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, services, and processes designed to increase the matriculation rate from accepted to enrolled, course completion, speed to graduation rate, persistence, retention, and student success of all students. The position ensures integration of efforts across faculty, staff, and administration, and maintains fiscal and operational accountability over the various student affairs areas.

Responsibilities:
- Live the mission, vision and values of M State to ensure a positive experience for all students and stakeholders. Service to M State students and stakeholders is a core component of the position and work responsibilities.
- Lead and hold operational authority for developing, executing, and measuring comprehensive retention initiatives that drive student success and align with institutional strategic priorities.
- Supervisory authority for staff, including academic advisors, success navigators, selective admissions/advising, academic support team, and testing services.
- Support for campus and college operations.
- Lead and coordinate long-term, college-wide planning to advance student success initiatives, strategic projects, and integrated support services
- Provide strategic and administrative oversight for developing tracking, reporting, and data-informed projections to advance persistence and retention goals across areas of supervision.
- Lead, and direct long-term planning with departments across college units for student success, projects, and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge in student affairs or related work. Doctorate degree may substitute for two years of experience; Master’s degree may substitute for 18 months of experience; Bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of experience; Associate’s degree may substitute for six months of experience.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, budget management, and data-informed decision-making within higher education environments.
- Skills in written, oral and presentation communications, human relations, and leadership.
- Exceptional skills in collaboration, communication, and change management, with experience building partnerships across divisions.
- Ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
