We are looking for an engaged and enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our Core API team. We build the foundation upon which hundreds of developers build the Peloton experience. You will join a team where everyone shares a common interest in designing, running, and maintaining our high traffic, critical monolithic API application while striving for simplicity and high speed of development.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

• Ensure the smooth functioning of our core API (written in Python)
• Determine the root cause of low-level system issues related to performance, build and deploy failures, security, and more
• Experience collaborating with members of other teams to gain clarity, triage issues, and drive them through multi-functional initiatives
• Split the monolithic core API into a more distributed system, and being part of this team will lend you the opportunity to participate in the execution of this strategic project
• Enhance and operate business-critical core API application with a focus on high availability, low latency, security and scalability
• Coordinate technical projects across teams within Peloton
• Be a valued member of an autonomous, multi-functional agile team

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

• 1+ years of directly related experience developing high-performance, highly scalable web application systems
• Experienced with Python and AWS
• Have a DevOps mentality and are comfortable with CI/CD tools and containerized applications (have familiarity with Jenkins and Docker)
• Enjoy triaging low-level system issues from an on-call environment, and have a knack of introducing automation where you see gaps
• A valued teammate in a dynamic, autonomous, multi-functional agile team that inspires others

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Our base salary is just one component of Peloton’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
