Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to work closely with Customer Success on integrating clients onto our big data platform. This entails evaluating customer requirements with respect to our platform’s capabilities and implementing such requirements as needed. This role is also involved in ongoing maintenance and enhancements in support of our clients.

Our engineers are part of a cross-functional engineering team that ensures each customer’s ETL is working properly. This includes, but is not limited to; data ingestion, developing and maintaining pipeline components, and developing custom outbound data feeds.

Qualifications

Candidates should have the following background, skills, and qualities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Financial Engineering
• 3 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience as a financial data analyst, or similar
• Experience with the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
  • 3 years of ETL experience using flat files to transposed Data Models
  • 2 years experience working with Big Data environments, including Spark, Python, HDFS, Hive
  • 4 years experience with Linux and Databases (RDS – MS SQL Server and Oracle)
  • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging SQL and Scala code
  • Experience with FTP, SFTP, and/or HTTPS file transfers

Alternatively, the right candidate will possess the following background, skills, and qualities:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Financial Engineering
• 1 Year of experience as a financial data analyst, or closely related
• Experience with the following:
  • 3 years of ETL experience using flat files to transposed Data Models
  • 2 years experience working with Big Data environments, including Spark, Python, HDFS, Hive
  • 4 years experience with Linux and Databases (RDS – MS SQL Server and Oracle)
  • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging SQL and Scala code

The Salary will be $115,440.
