Intake and Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Primary responsibility for all aspects of Claim intake for middle market claims including but not limited to Auto, General Liability, Workers Compensation and Property. The tasks would include:

• processing/managing first notice of loss reports via phone calls

• responding and managing general customer service inquiries

• triaging and sorting of mail, both physical and electronic, both incoming and outgoing.

Responsibilities

• Answer and respond to customer service calls for both Inquiries and for First Notice of Loss (phone reports).

• Open, review, categorize and scan incoming mail, route to correct location.

• Post outgoing mail and outgoing Federal Express timely.

• Other Administrative duties as assigned by Claims Operations Manager or Supervisor

Education & Experience

• High School Graduate or equivalent, some college or insurance related experience preferred

• 2 to 3 years experience in Customer Service (preferably Insurance)

• Solid skill with MS Office, WORD, EXCEL

• Must be detail oriented

• Superior customer service and communication skills required

• Excellent verbal/written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Computer and keyboarding skills

• Ability to navigate and work in multiple systems

• Team player and collaborative
