Job Description

As a Security Professional - Retail Facility - Full Time  in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be assigned to a dynamic retail environment where your presence and professionalism help to deter security-related incidents. By conducting regular patrols throughout the location, you will remain highly visible to both staff and visitors, providing reassurance and a welcoming atmosphere. Your role includes monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents as they arise, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and approachability. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure atmosphere.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents, communicating findings to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as required by site protocols.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and interacting with staff and visitors as appropriate.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when directed, following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
