About the role

Heritage Pointe of FW is seeking a reliable and detailed-oriented Business Office Manager. The business office manager’s position is responsible for working closely with the ED and Controller to support the financial responsibilities of the location and organization.  The business office manager is responsible for census, payer eligibility, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end close, case management, and resident trust.  The right person will be efficient, adhere to deadlines and complete tasks with a high degree of detail and accuracy.

 

Essential Job Functions

  1. Maintain and reconcile census daily and as needed for other milestones such as month end close.
  2. Follow corporate AP process including scanning, entering, and filing invoices.  Perform vendor statement research and reconciliation.
  3. Complete AR functions including posting and depositing receipts, long-term care insurance claim submission, and verification of insurance benefits.
  4. Ensure month end close is completed in a timely manner.  Performs ancillary entry, statement review, and refund review.
  5. Work with ancillary providers such as radiology, lab, therapy, and pharmacy to ensure bills are received and census is correct.
  6. Assist residents and/or their representatives with the Medicaid application process.
  7. Complete case management functions including submitting and tracking insurance pre-certifications and re-certifications.
  8. Manage the resident trust account including monthly statements and bank reconciliations.
  9. Establish rapport in and between departments so each can see the importance of accurate data input and output procedures.
  10. Insurance updates, including nurses’ notes, therapy minutes, and therapy notes.

 

Job Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Current understanding of bookkeeping, health care reimbursement, continuing care retirement community regulations, and other industry applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Demonstrated advanced competence with Microsoft Excel and an enterprise level electronic health record and/or general ledger application.
  4. Attention to detail with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects.

Pay-$22.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
