Associate Director, Utilities and Facility

The Associate Director Utilities and Facilities serves as the site SME for the Central Utility Building which includes Compressed Air Generation, Chillers, Heating Hot water, Plant Steam, Condensate, Power Distribution, natural gas and the distribution of such utilities across the site.  They will also be the site SME for Clean Utilities such as WFI, Pure Steam and Process gases.

• Supporting the Engineering Team to complete biomanufacturer plant projects with current focus on successful completion of the current BeOne Hopewell project.
• Support the design, start-up, commissioning, and qualification for Clean and Black Utilities. 
• SME level understanding for all utilities.
• Understanding of Maintenance and calibration requirements for Utility Equipment.
• Develop and maintain BeOne Engineering processes and procedures according to regulatory and quality requirements.
• Listen to the different voices and win the commitment of team members.

This role will be based in Hopewell NJ and report to the Site Director Facilities and Engineering.

Essential Functions of the job:

• Meet BeOne business needs with focus on enabling compliant and operational readiness.
• Develop technical, operational procedures, calibration plans, preventative maintenance plans for responsible systems.
• Commission and qualify responsible systems.
• Manage external partners as required.
• Solicit and respond to user input with the team members and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide leadership demonstrating values of integrity, courage and passion and promote engagement and professional development
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Position Responsibilities:

• 4+ years in facility and engineering management roles especially those related to utility generation and distribution.
• Promote culture, development, and integrity with direct reports.
• Will lead the Utilities/Facilities SME team.  Responsible for direct and indirect people management, performance reviews, hiring, and all other management responsibilities.

Computer Skills:   

• Strong PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)

Qualifications:  

• 8+ years in facility and engineering roles especially those related to biological products, electrical systems, utilities, and equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field required.  Prefer Electrical Engineering degree.
• Experience in managing projects and ensuring deliverables are on time and on budget.
• Experience leading utility discussions with regulatory agencies. 
• Proficient in utility, equipment and HVAC design and maintenance.

Travel:  up to 10% as required

Salary Range: $141,500.00 - $191,500.00 annually
