 Job Description:

 Successful candidates will require an ability to apply consulting experience and skills in analysis, design, and early development of complex systems using SAP Business Objects to provide our client oversight of modernization and sustainment of high availability enterprise applications. We are modernizing our client's applications using leading technologies as well as implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery, DevOps, and microservices architecture while moving applications to commercial clouds such as Amazon Web Services.  The candidate will leverage experience in architecting, configuring, building, deploying, and supporting SAP Business Objects as a shared service across the enterprise with diverse data sources such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and others.    The successful candidate will architect and engineer upgrades, modifications, and sustainment of applications running on both UNIX-based platforms and Windows-based platforms in a virtualized enterprise that is migrating to Cloud services.  A deep understanding of DoD and government security standards and policies are needed to ensure all deployed changes are highly secure and available.  The candidate will work directly with senior-level systems and software engineers and architects to implement solution designs in a large complex worldwide enterprise.

Qualifications:

• Seven (7) or more years in Administration of Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform to include the latest version
• Experience in BO Universe design
• As a universe developer, you understand the BO Universe Design Tool (UDT) or since the BO 4.2 release in 2016, have worked with the tool as it's known as the Information Design Tool (IDT).
• Ten (10) or more years total experience supporting enterprise-class applications in a significant engineering or administrative role
• Experience with Oracle, DB2 and other enterprise-level databases
• BO administration skills (desired)
• Security + Certification (Desired)

Typical Duties/Abilities:

• BO Servers Upgrade from lower versions to the latest version BO BI.
• Server patch management where new patches and service packs are needed
• Migration of reports/universes/users along with security settings from one development/testing/staging to Prod Environment following Change Management processes.
• Design and implement security by creating user groups, granting access to BO based applications to users and adding security restrictions (application level, folder level, and object level) based on user profile and user groups.
• Create access levels(Super/Basic/Develop) based on project needs.
• Create events, custom queries, delivery templates, register network paths and create burst and schedule them and deliver the information as required

• Configure/Optimize Server settings. Apply trace logs on servers in case of troubleshooting complex incidents.
• Start /Stop, Enable/Disable, Clone, Add, remove BO Services on requirement.
• Work with SAP Support in case any issue is not resolved internally.
• Organizing the BO content (Delete, Move & edit).
• Monitoring day to day scheduled jobs and re-run in case of any failure.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment frameworks, practices, and tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
