About the role

Description

The Assistant Branch Manager – Floater Pool assists in various branches with all daily functions of the branch including training, coaching, and monitoring floating staff to meet all assigned individual goals and objectives. Provides oversight and approval within assigned limits to staff. Communicates and reviews all procedures with processing staff ensuring all regulatory and compliance aspects are met.  Ensure the safety and security of employees, members, and data. Provides guidance to the staff by exhibiting excellent management and member service skills to members, coworkers, and management. Availability to work and relocate as needed within multiple locations in any given day. This is a non-remote position and will require the employee to report to work on-site at the designated work location.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assume the responsibilities of the Manager during his/her absence. 
  2. Create and monitor performance plans for Floater Pool employee development through counseling, coaching, performance evaluations, training, motivation, and discipline. 
  3. Train, mentor, develop and supervise assigned Floater Pool staff, which could include Tellers, Member Service Representative (MSRs) and Sr. Member Service Representatives (Sr. MSRs).
  4. Oversee, plan, organize and assign the daily schedule of all Floater Pool staff to ensure optimal coverage at all branch locations.
  5. Provide approvals and overrides to member facing staff within assigned limits.
  6. Respond and resolve members’ requests, problems, and complaints.
  7. Provide information regarding Credit Union products, services, and policies.
  8. Promote and cross-sell Credit Union products and services.
  9. Support staff as a back up to the new accounts/loan processes, services, and maintenance.
  10. Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, and processes pertaining to BSA and CIP programs.
  11. Participate and/or lead branch meetings. Make suggestions for individual and branch improvement.
  12. Remain eligible to register with NMLS registry and State of California Department of Insurance.  
  13. Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of three years of financial industry experience.
  3. Minimum of two years of new accounts and supervisory experience.
  4. Staff development experience i.e., coaching, training, tracking, and monitoring.
  5. Knowledge of consumer lending practices and processes preferred.
  6. Experience with interviewing, counseling, writing reviews, recommendations for promotion and/or termination.
  7. Proficiency with 10 key adding machine, on-line computer system, and typewriter (minimum typing speed of 40 w.p.m.).
  8. Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships are essential.
  9. Knowledge and understanding of the mission and vision of the Credit Union. Strictly adhere to the Credit Union’s policy of confidentiality, security, professional conduct, and dress.

Salary Range: $68,480.00 - $77582.00/year
