General Manager - Critical Mineral Recovery
IntercoAbout the role
Company Description
Critical Mineral Recovery™ (CMR) is poised to become a global leader in the recycling of electric vehicle and consumer-grade lithium-ion batteries. Upon completion of its new, state-of-the-art 225,000-square-foot battery processing facility in Fredericktown, Missouri, USA in Q1 2023, CMR will be able to process more than 60,000 tons per year of Li-ion batteries and battery-related materials, such as cathode and anode foils. Between its enormous capacity, low-cost processing methodologies, and large supply of batteries and battery-related materials, which are sourced directly from OEM’s, battery manufacturers, and other battery processors in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, CMR will be one of the largest Li-ion battery processors in the world.
Critical Mineral Recovery™ will produce commercial-grade products, most notably powders that are rich in nickel, cobalt, and lithium, that can then be refined into battery-grade sulphates and carbonates used to make the raw material inputs needed by EV and consumer Li-ion battery manufacturers around the world. CMR, by processing batteries and battery-related materials from both consumers, processors, and manufacturers alike and redirecting critical inputs back into the battery manufacturing supply chain, will establish a truly closed-loop solution in the global marketplace that is both environmentally responsible and scalable for future growth as the global demand for such products flourishes in the coming generation.
