Journeyman Knowledge Management Training Specialist

Overview

JST is currently seeking a Journeyman Knowledge Management Training Specialist to support the Air Force Inspection Agency in the planning, delivery, and sustainment of the Department of the Air Force Inspector General (DAF IG) Enterprise Knowledge Management (KM) training program. This position is responsible for identifying training requirements, developing curriculum, and delivering instruction aligned with the DAF IG Enterprise Knowledge Management Solution, supporting improved organizational learning, mission readiness, and decision-making.

Journeyman KM Training Specialist Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive DAF IG Enterprise Knowledge Management Solution Training Plan in coordination with Government stakeholders, identifying learning objectives, instructional methods, delivery schedules, and required updates.
• Design and deliver recurring training sessions across classified and unclassified environments to ensure stakeholder familiarity with KM tools, input procedures, and data analysis capabilities.
• Prepare and maintain unclassified/classified Training Plans of Instruction, course media, and related documentation to support consistent and scalable training delivery.
• Define and communicate learning objectives that include data input standards and analytical techniques to support internal evaluations and strategic decision-making.
• Support training needs assessments and integrate feedback mechanisms to ensure content remains current and effective across enterprise-wide operations.
• Ensure compliance with all security, records management, and configuration management requirements during training content development and delivery.
• Submit Monthly Maintenance Reports documenting training activities, updates, and alignment with evolving DAF IG priorities.
• Instructor experience highly desired

 

Journeyman KM Training Specialist Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Systems Design, Knowledge Management, Education, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a training, instructional design, or KM support role within a DoD or federal program
• Experience developing and delivering technical or knowledge management training solutions in secure, classified environments
• Familiarity with the principles of Knowledge Management, adult learning methodologies, and training evaluation techniques
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and digital course delivery platforms

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting Air Force, AFIA, or DAF IG programs
• Experience designing training around KM systems such as Power BI, Envision Workspace, or similar tools
• Familiarity with AFIA or SAF/IG mission sets and reporting systems

 

Required Clearances and Screenings

• MUST have an active Secret clearance. 
• MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
