The Sr. Analyst of Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery is responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining of an enterprise-wide Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning program to identify and mitigate the organization’s risk of exposure to internal and external threats. This position will include participation in the company’s crisis management program.

The Sr. Analyst of Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery is responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining of an enterprise-wide Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning program to identify and mitigate the organization’s risk of exposure to internal and external threats. This position will include participation in the company’s crisis management program.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- The position will develop and implement the BCP/DR strategy for the organization to include business operations, information technology, application recovery, cloud recovery, awareness training.
- The position will participate in a crisis management program comprised of appropriate leadership levels to respond to BCP, DR, and cybersecurity events.
- The position will develop, implement, and manage a BIA program to help identify events that that could impact the organization and establish restoration priorities to address identified risk. The program should define the revenue loss of operational disruption.
- The position will develop, implement, and lead a response program that will outline the processes the organization will use to respond to critical recovery situations to reduce the risk the negative affect on the reputation or ability to continue to operate.
- The position is responsible for leadership responsibilities to include team performance, coaching/feedback sessions, process/procedures implementation, project management of initiatives, ensuring teamwork is completed timely.
- The position will maintain and be responsible for the budget and vendor relationships for the group.
- The position will build strong collaborative working relationships with Protective infrastructure, application development, and business teams, auditors, regulators, and business partners of Protective.
- Associate, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
- 5 to 10 years of work experience in business continuity planning
- 3 years of previous management experience
- CBCP or MBCP certification required
- Strong interpersonal skills to coach and manage employees and build collaborative relationships with peers
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong understanding of information security, risk management, and audit (risk and/or security policies, procedures, and controls)
