DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support compound sales efforts by investigating problems and recommending solutions.
• Work on processing and/ or compounding in rigid PVC.
• Formulating rigid PVC.
• Process troubleshooting in rigid PVC.
• Working with NSF and UL requirements.
• Conduct technical services in the form of product trials, technical reviews and seminars, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with sales to maintain existing customers and generate new business opportunities.
• Work on customer trials to support development efforts to generate new products and improve existing products.
• Design and facilitate training to customers, as needed.
• Investigate, solve and optimize customer processing.
• Continually benchmark Westlake’s compound products by working with the development team.
• Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders (technology, operations staff) at customer account.
• Initiate, develop and work on new product ideas based on market needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science, or Electrical.

• Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience processing rigid PVC and CPVC compounds in injection molding and extrusion applications.

• Up to 20% domestic travel.
