Edgehill CCRC, a five star Senior Living Community is searching for a Full Time Independent Living Activities Assistant who will work with the Activities Director in promoting a level of health, well-being and engagement for our residents. We are looking for someone who is creative and can make a meaningful contribution both to our community and to our Activities Team.


Responsibilities
• Designs and Publishes: Fliers, Notices, Digital Daily Calendar, Menus, and Invitations.
• Assists residents with personal computer projects.
• Assists with the preparation and organization of a monthly calendar of events. Designs and distributes community newsletter.
• Assists in planning, scheduling and conducting programs that provide fun and enjoyable opportunities for the residents.
• Helps plan and execute appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
• Attends community planned functions and assists with events from beginning to end including set-up, running, and breaking down for the event.
• Assists in planning and managing the facilitation of a comprehensive activities program utilizing team members and volunteers.
• Works with other departments to coordinate all activities and special events.
• Addresses resident and other groups on subjects of common interest.
• Assists, invites and encourages residents to participate in activities.
• Other duties as assigned.


Requirements


• Graphic design capabilities- posters, flyers, newsletters, etc.
• Can manage Social Media accounts.
• Familiar with basic Audio Video setups.
• Proficient with MS Publisher, Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Passionate, organized and a team player.
• Associate College diploma or equivalent
• Experience in long term care preferred or experience/exposure to the senior population.
