Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Growth Strategy & Business Development will play an important role as part of a highly visible team evaluating key strategic initiatives for Versant. This team supports Versant’s CEO and Chief Revenue & Business Officer in resource allocation decisions and identifying pathways to growth through content & media rights acquisitions, strategic partnerships, M&A, and organic opportunities.

This role will work on opportunities across Versant with a large focus on the Sports and Entertainment spaces, supporting the leaders and needs of the Digital Platforms and Ventures (DPV) businesses including GolfNow, GolfPass, Fandango, and Rotten Tomatoes. The position will require rigorous financial modeling and critical analysis of opportunities across the business including new businesses, partnerships, and ventures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support in evaluation of key initiatives that drive meaningful revenue and EBITDA growth across Versant’s portfolio of Digital Platforms and Ventures (DPV) assets
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models covering deal economics, valuations and forecasts
  • Help coordinate day-to-day communication and collaboration with ad sales, finance, programming, production, digital, marketing, and legal teams
  • Create detailed presentations to support analyses and participate in executive-level discussions on such opportunities
  • Help identify new revenue opportunities and analyze potential target acquisitions and partners consistent with strategic goals
  • Serve as part of a deal team coordinating with internal and external partners to perform financial, strategic, and operational diligence
  • Proactively identify and evaluate trends, new technology, and business opportunities in media and related industries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience in a highly analytical role (e.g. investment banking, consulting, corporate strategy / development or business development at a media, entertainment or tech company)
  • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint

Additional Requirements

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Orlando, FL office a minimum of three days per week.
