Why Housekeeping?

The Housekeeping department is the heart of our hotel’s presentation. The Laundry Attendant is the gear that keeps the housekeeping department running. The primary purpose of the Laundry Attendant is to provide guests with an excellent room experience by providing timely service to the Housekeeping department and conference center through proper cleaning and sanitization of hotel linens, towels, and fabrics.

Work Performed: 

The Laundry Attendant is tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

• Routinely transfer used and dirty linens from the linen chute to the hotel laundry room.
• Examine and sort articles for laundry according to color, fabric, dirt content, and cleaning technique required;
• Use laundering equipment and the correct amounts of proper chemicals to safely and thoroughly clean and press linen;
• Ensure usage of approved cleaning chemicals;
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas;
• Perform work on a deep cleaning and preventative maintenance scheduled program for all areas of the hotel as assigned;
• Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property, report damage, theft and found articles to supervisors or managers;
• Follow all company and safety security policies and procedures, report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, safety hazards, and unsafe work conditions to leadership;
• Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Qualifications: 

• Physical: Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds regularly, Ability to bend and squat repeatedly, Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift 
• Availability: Flexible to working days, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
