ABOUT YOU

You are responsible for effectively educating and enforcing the Company’s Safety Policy and ensuring compliance with the rules, regulations, and state/local laws.


EVERY DAY, YOU WILL

  • Conduct internal facility observations, maintain all inspection records and ensure any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are immediately addressed. 
  • Ability to provide efficiency training in the following areas: (Aerial Lift, Confined Space, LOTO, Fall Protection, Ladders, Hazard Communication, and Blood Borne Pathogens.)
  • Leads a team accountable for the performance and results of a function, industry and/or region.
  • Receives work in the form of objectives and strategically determines how to use resources to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Drives a culture of open communication.
  • Promote the zero-incident proactive culture. 
  • Promote the Stop Work authority of all workers at every level. 
  • Directs a specific region within the company to include HCP/GHG.
  • Educate, and enforce the Company’s Safety Policy and ensure compliance with the rules, regulations, and state/local laws. 
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, identifies causal factors, and recommends corrective actions.
  • Monitors and ensures implementation of identified corrective actions. 
  • Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and long-term health hazards to be presented to VP of Safety for potential implementation. 
  • Oversee the ongoing development, tracking, and analysis of the safety trends within the organization. 
  • Ensure completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting. 
  • Work with Facilities Managers, and other selected managers to maintain and update all SDS inventories within that region. 
  • Establish lines of communication where all employees play a proactive role in our safety culture. 
  • Develop the safety education process for all employees through classes, seminars, workshops or sharing information. 
  • Regular site visits and safety meetings with the facilities team within the region to address necessary updates/trainings. 
  • Understand, review, and educate employees regarding our emergency action plan, and safety programs upon implementation. 
  • Support changing processes within a region and manage resistance. 
  • Attend Safety Committee to share relevant information with the team. 
  • Driving is an essential function.

Requirements

WHAT WE NEED

Education High School diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training 

· 4+ years in the construction or hospitality industry

· Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, DOT, etc.)

· Strong planning and communication skills

· Knows how to communicate and relate to employees at all levels. 

· Strong work ethic

· Excellent written and communication skills

· Ability to bring groups together or work independently

· Valid driver’s license with good driving record


WHAT WE PREFER

Education Bachelor’s Degree

Licenses/Certificates CPR/First Aid Certified, OSHA certifications, and Certified Safety Professional preferred
