We’re searching for a Senior Manager, Vehicle System Software Engineering.
In this role, you will
- Lead and manage teams of software engineers working on building Aurora’s on vehicle platform software.
- Partner closely and work effectively across multiple functions within Aurora to ensure new vehicle platforms, software platforms, software releases, and fleets are integrated, reliable, efficient, and monitored.
- Develop processes to uplevel the productivity of the team and quality of deliverables as well as drive operational excellence across the team.
- Create roadmaps and strategies to meet safety and security requirements to meet autonomous vehicle requirements.
- Execute on Aurora’s plan to scale capabilities; define and evolve the team and processes as Aurora scales its vehicle operations.
Required Qualifications
- BS in related field
- 10+ years of experience in a leadership capacity, managing multiple engineering teams
- Proven track record of growing, motivating and managing high performing teams
- Excellent people management, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in collaboration with hardware, systems, and operations teams
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in safety-critical software development - ideally, understanding of ISO26262.
- Experience in creation of new process to meet evolving industry standards
- Experience in control systems
- General understanding of software development process
- Project management experience
The base salary range for this position is $212,000 to $340,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
