Description:   Office Paraprofessional - Part Time

Terms of Employment:  10 Month Employee - temporary if hired after contractual start date

Reports to:  Building Principal

Salary:  Current salary schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with staff & public.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers & typing skills.
  • Demonstrate regularity in attendance & promptness in reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Will be calling homes to check on absenteeism.
  • Monitoring and tracking attendance
  • Calling to check on Early Dismissals.
  • Assist students, staff and visitors.
  • Checking computer to flag students who have consecutive absence.
  • Answer the telephone.
  • Assists in processing mailings
  • Demonstrates computer skills in MS Word, Internet Explorer
  • Assists in proofreading and editing a variety of materials
  • Assists in processing invoices and orders
  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Standard Requirements:

  • Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the candidate who is offered employment
  • Tuberculin Test and physical
  • Mandatory Direct Deposit of paycheck
