Job Description
As a Senior Product Owner, you will own several functional areas of the DnA product and will drive execution of roadmap features for those areas. You will be joining our product team and working closely with UX, engineering, and other departments to build features. You will drive requirements gathering, design, and the implementation of these features in addition to owning ongoing maintenance for your functional areas. The role requires someone with a background in product or product marketing and extensive DnA experience.
As a Senior Product Owner, you will:
- Be the expert for your functional areas.
- Execute on the roadmap priorities outlined by the Senior Product Manager for DnA.
- Collaborate with UX to lead story mapping as a key part of product discovery.
- Gather input from internal and external stakeholders.
- Leverage analytics to make good product decisions.
- Prioritize the scrum team’s work.
- Create user stories and document requirements in Jira.
- Lead regular standups and planning meetings with engineering.
- Provide regular updates and transparency on the team’s work to internal teams.
- Prioritize issues and work with customer facing teams on bug escalations.
- Work with UX to implement “delight bugs” each month.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure go to market needs are met.
- Collaborate with other DnA product owners as needed.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of work experience in education or educational technology
- 5+ years of experience working with DnA
- 5+ years product or product marketing experience.
- Knowledge of formative assessment.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to handle tasks of high complexity.
- Ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Independent, self-directed and responsive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience and willingness to work with off-shore or distributed teams.
- A sense of humor and humility.
Bonus Points for:
- Experience with software development projects and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian products.
- Training and certification as a professional scrum product owner (PSPO) or as a certified scrum product owner (CSPO).
- Experience with story mapping.
* Minimal travel required – may include up to 10% of travel domestically.
Additional Information

Salary Range: $82,000-110,000. This range is based on national market data and may vary by location.
