About the role

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable and efficient Warehouse Clerk to join our Electrical Power Services team in Ontario, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including stand-up forklift operation, loading and unloading materials, labeling, inventory as well as delivering materials to various locations within the area. This role requires good attention to detail and the ability to multi task effectively.

Position Summary

Pay: $22.00-$25.00. The pay listed is the base hourly rate + plus available paid overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate stand-up forklifts to move materials and products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.

Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring that all items are properly handled and stored.

Label materials accurately for inventory tracking, ensuring that all products are clearly marked and easy to identify.

Deliver materials to various locations within the warehouse and to nearby areas as required.

Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and up to date.

Perform regular inventory checks and assist with periodic stocktaking.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

 

Qualifications:

1-3 years of proven experience as a Warehouse Clerk or similar role.

Microsoft Office experience

Valid stand-up forklift certification or equivalent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.

Ability to load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and safety.

Experience with inventory management and labeling materials.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and work in a physically demanding environment.

Ability to work 50% of the time in a non-climate controlled environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in material delivery or similar roles.

Familiarity with inventory management software.

High school diploma or equivalent.
