Job Description:

Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Helper in Facilities Management.

Major Responsibilities

General Maintenance

• Cleans and maintains mowers, small tools, golf carts, and other small equipment. 

• Schedules repairs for small equipment. 

• Maintain fountains, including cleaning, chemical treatment, and other maintenance. 

• Empty recycling bins into designated dumpsters. 

Vehicle Maintenance 

• Provide maintenance on mobile health unit. 

• Ensure mobile health unit is filled with gasoline before event. 

• Change oil and oil filter on fleet vehicles. 

• Schedules service on fleet vehicles for tires, brakes, transmission, tune-up, and general maintenance. 

• Responsible for maintaining current state inspection stickers on all vehicles. 

• Washes and cleans fleet vehicles after use. 

No experience required.

Additional Job Description:

Rate of pay: $13.11 - $18.35/hour

This position is paid hourly/bi-weekly and qualifies for state benefits and retirement with LASERS.
