Position Overview
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Division Manager for the Division of Public Water Supplies (DPWS) in the Bureau of Water, located in Springfield, IL. The selected candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, and will use innovative ways to guide the DPWS and its staff of approximately 50 individuals. The selected candidate will frequently represent the IEPA and Bureau of Water to state, federal and local governments, industry, public interest groups, and stakeholders. The individual will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures necessary to maintain delegation of authority from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), including drafting and revising legislative initiatives and Illinois Pollution Control Board regulations.

Essential Functions
- Serves as Public water supplies Division Manager, of the Division of Public Water Supplies (DPWS):
- Serves as full-line supervisor to a staff of managers engaged in supervising the Division's drinking and groundwater highly technical program staff including engineers, geologists and specialists:
- Develops and implements programs, policies and procedures necessary to continue to secure delegation of authority from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) for all federally funded Public Water Supply programs.
- Formulates, develops, and submits recommendations to Bureau Chief for:
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college.
