We are a growing organization, and we are seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join or Shared Services division. Together, with the momentum of our business vision, we can achieve international success and added innovation in all of the themes which Dürr influences at a global level.
Position Summary: The SR. Human Resource Generalist position is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, administration, training and communication of a variety of human resources policies and programs including performance management, talent management, labor relations, employee relations, processing union hourly and non-union payrolls and HR related compliance. Duties will also include miscellaneous administrative/clerical duties as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for the Company, assists in development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Conduct and review highly confidential assignments and projects related to labor relations and employee relations issues.
- Support onboarding and orientation for new employees.
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
- Conduct references/background checks/employment testing for candidates.
- Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards or regulations.
- Interpret and explain the Union Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Assists Human Resources Senior Manager with design, implementation and delivery of training to employees as needed.
- General HR compliance activities, special projects as assigned. Maintain knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action guidelines and laws including FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Prepare or maintain employment records related events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, promotions, using Human Resources management software.
- Create and analyze various HR reports/metrics including headcount.
- Provides leadership to Company's wellness committee and champions' health related initiatives.
- Support Training objectives including but not limited to Ethics, wellness, new hire training, etc.
- Miscellaneous HR administrative and research duties.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with unions.
- Willing to relocate to Green Bay Wisconsin
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 2 years' of prior Human Resources Generalist work experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and/or management.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or management.
- Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness.
- Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Works well independently, yet is cooperative in working with team members.
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to make disciplined decisions based on facts and lessons learned
- Adaptable to change in a learning environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with SAP preferred
