Make it your own by discovering new ways to securely and expertly apply the latest technology.</p><p></p><p>GDIT is looking for <b>Network Computer Support Technician </b>in<b> Rome, NY</b>, who holds active DoW Secret Clearance.</p><ul><li><p>The Tier 1 maintenance of the on-site ADCS systems and subsystems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance and monitoring the on-site and remote locations. </p></li></ul><p><br/><b><u>MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Terminate ADCS circuits activated at the node point-of-presence (POP).</p></li><li><p>Report failures to the on-site government contract representative no later than the start of the next duty day</p></li><li><p>Coordinate system downtime requirements with CAOC/ADS “Comm Focal Point (CFP)”</p></li><li><p>Monitoring the on-site and remote locations</p></li><li><p>Perform additions, changes, and relocations of ADCS equipment</p></li><li><p>Performs a range of technical tasks and provides site support.</p></li><li><p>Modifies, moves, and installs a range of new equipment.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoots a range of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.</p></li></ul><p><br/><b><u>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Must have an active Secret Level security clearance.</p></li><li><p>Must hold active CompTIA IAT 8570 Level II or DoW 8140 equivalent (i.e.: Security+CE) certification or higher.</p></li><li><p>Must have AA/AS and 3+ year of experience; or equivalent</p></li><li><p>Must be onsite in <b>Rome, NY.</b></p></li><li><p>Operations and maintenance of <span>communications/computer</span> systems and networks.</p></li><li><p>Installs <span>communications/computer</span> systems in accordance with the respective installation spec.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshooting and support of communications systems/networks.</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of Cisco system support/maintenance, VMware ESXi system support/maintenance, Active Directory, Windows Server 2019, HBSS, ACAS, SQL, SolarWinds, and Splunk preferred.</p></li><li><p>End-user support and training on communications systems/networks.</p></li><li><p>Administer network/cyber security policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.</p></li><li><p>Participates in special projects as required.</p></li><li><p>Focused on identifying customer needs and maintaining customer satisfaction.</p></li><li><p>Perform assigned additional duties (Vehicle Monitor, Local Records Maintenance, Site Safety representative, etc.) if/when selected.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Working Conditions:</b></p><ul><li><h2><b>This mission supports 24/7 x 365, shift work and weekends may be required</b></h2></li><li><h2><b>Work may require some physical effort in handling equipment, boxes etc.</b></h2></li></ul><p><br/><b><u>GDIT IS YOUR PLACE</u></b><br/>At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.</p><ul><li>Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunities.</li><li>Support: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goals.</li><li>Rewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time off.</li><li>Community: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace.</li></ul></div><p><br/>OWN YOUR OPPORTUNITY<br/>Explore a career at GDIT and you’ll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your ambition to deliver your best work.</p><p></p><p><span>#GDITPriority</span></p><p></p><p></p>The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.83 - $34.11. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
