Job Description

Reporting to the Emergency Services Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating elements of the Emergency Services department, including training logistics, disaster supplies management, the Floor Warden and Disaster Response Team programs, and additional employee awareness and educational programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage training classes, from registration and confirmation of attendees, facilities, and instructors to follow up, including documentation of results
  • Conduct training classes on a variety of topics, including Emergency Action Plan Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens and CPR/AED Certification
  • Oversee 10 Universal City Plaza new occupant training program, including updating tenant contacts
  • Provide periodic updates to the Floor Warden Manual
  • Maintain Floor Warden and Disaster Response Team database and distribution lists, performing regular verification and auditing.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, publication, and distribution of training materials, maps, manuals, directories, and plans
  • Participate in disaster response and Emergency Operations Center activations
  • Conduct and document audits of disaster supplies, Floor Warden and Disaster Response Team training, and drills/exercises
  • Assist in coordination and execution of monthly radio drills, quarterly Emergency Operations Center and Incident Command Unit drills, and annual full-scale exercises
  • Coordinate CPR/AED and Blood borne Pathogen training for those who require it
  • Evaluate opportunities to ensure adequate numbers of employee volunteers are available to serve as Floor Wardens, Facility Wardens, and Disaster Response Team Members. Monitor office moves, production schedules, and other sources to anticipate and respond to changing Floor Warden needs.
  • Assist in rolling out new technologies and platforms to streamline incident response, employee notification, and situational awareness
  • Assist other staff members as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with emergency response protocols and equipment
  • Experience in corporate-level training programs and/or emergency response training
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, instructor certifications for CPR/AED and Community Emergency Response Team
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 classes
  • Willing to travel to NBCUniversal locations in the Los Angeles Area
  • Able to work nights, weekends, or off hours if required. Position is subject to recall in emergencies.
  • Able to lift 25-50 pounds

Desired

  • Proven ability to handle heavy workload and meet short deadlines.
  • 1-3 years of experience with emergency planning and response.
  • Completion of CERT Program Manager training
