Arcadis is currently searching for a Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineer with 8 – 12+ years’ experience, to support our Resilience Environment team in North America. Location preference is Highlands Ranch, CO or Salt Lake City, UT, but can be flexible.
Our team works with clients to achieve business objectives by creating and implementing innovative and effective solutions using state-of-the-art practices and technologies. This position is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible individual with strong communication skills and the initiative to tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts. You will collaborate with scientists, other engineers, project managers, and technical experts on various activities in support of diverse remediation and industrial projects. You will be involved in a mix of technical work, such as conceptual design, detailed system design, design management, construction management, system commissioning, and operation and maintenance of systems.
Role accountabilities:
- Provide technical leadership for remediation and industrial wastewater treatment projects including, but not limited to the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of wastewater treatment plants ensuring compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis’ quality and safety practices
- Leading and performing the development of complex process engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, Equipment Datasheets, Instrument Data, Process Control Descriptions, Cause & Effect Diagrams, PHAs, and detailed specifications. This also includes investigations, studies, analysis, designs, and construction administration services
- Leading and communicating with multi-disciplinary project teams, establishing goals and objectives, and scheduling and coordinating resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members as well as external stake holders including contractors, vendors, and clients
- Leading, supervising, and supporting the work of others while mentoring junior level technical staff
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of relevant design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience
- Professional Engineer
- MSHA 24 Hour New Miner
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER
- Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
