We are looking for: Sterile Processing TechnicianSchedule: Monday-Thursday 10am-8pmCompensation: The hiring range for this position is $27.25 - $35.00/hour based on skillset and experience. The Sterile Processing Technician performs decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of instrumentation and medical equipment for surgeries and procedures, utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process. What you’ll do:
- Maintaining proper sterile technique
- Proactive distribution of all necessary equipment and instrumentation for surgeries and procedures
- Collecting used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination
- Accurately handle and care for instruments, including appropriate selection of cleaning agents, lubricants, examination for function, identification, and assembly
- Preparing and packing decontaminated supplies for sterilization
- Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment
- Assembling, disassembling, and disinfecting operating and procedure rooms
- Minimum 2-year veterinary experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail.
